Well, yeah, and back with a new post. Honestly, I don't know what to talk about today...nothing exciting really happened.
Oh, except the news of the Temasek Wind Ensemble getting silver for SYF instead of gold. I can see that many band members (those in my class) are really sad...but its okay, ya'll get 'em two years later :3
I had speech day rehearsal today. I got gastric pain halfway through it. I ate lontong for lunch, and I hardly finished half of it. The glutinous rice stuff (the one you eat with satay) was kind of...bland. So, minus the rice, what's left of lontong? Tofu, cabbage and a fried potato ball. (that's not a typo!)
How is a growing girl suppose to survive on that?
The whole prize presenting part, honestly, was horrifically boring. I mean, what's so entertaining about seeing people you don't know waltz up on stage, collect an envelope and waltz back down? Oh yes, and the path back to our seat, after we've collected our prizes is really long, as we have to walk around the different 'blocks' of chairs.
The performance part was much better. There wasn't really many items...Band (percussion), Dance, ASEAN scholars dance, Acapella (spelling?) group and Chinese Orchestra. In other words, they were mainly made up of Aesthetic groups.
After the whole rehearsal, I found it difficult to walk because of the excruciating pain in my tummy. So I went downstairs to the canteen and bought a Char Siew (chicken meat) Pau. I practically stuffed the whole thing into my mouth. I could still feel pain in my poor li'l tummy, so I bought 3 Siew Mais and covered them in chilli sauce. After eating those yummy Siew Mais, I still felt hungry, so I bought myself a chocolate soya bean drink from the vending machine. Only then did my stomach cease to burn.
Oh yeah, now I'm broke...I've been spending alot of money on chocolate soya bean milk and paus lately. I plan to buy myself 3 Siew Mais tomorrow and cover them in chilli sauce.
